The federation of the United Arab Emirates consists of seven emirates. They differ in size but each of them has its own attractions and sights. Nowadays Dubai is the most popular emirate. The greatness of Dubai is emphasized by the world's tallest tower opened in January 2010, which became a specific symbol of the city. The newly restored Bastakiya district is also worth visited. As for Abu Dhabi, which is the legislative capital of the country, it is chracterised by a fast development from oasis life to a modern and cosmopolitan city. It is famous for its top-class hotels and restaurants, but it houses some sights wich have to be seen. Deep in the local traditions such as camel riding and falconry, visiting the Heritage Village, stroll along the Corniche boulevard, enjoy spectacular view of the city from the Breakwater Point.

Despite its relatively small size Ajman offers the tourists a great deal of the activities: to walk along the old waterfront area and Beach Rock Road, to see an important site - the traditional mosque-styled Etisalat Tower, to learn the history of the city in the 18th century fort, which has been turned into the local museum. But all the same the major attraction in Ajman is the long beach line along the Persian Gulf Coast. Looking for the proper conditions for the water sports choose Fujairah, which suggests the tourists leisure boating, fishing, diving, and many other water-based activities. During Fujairah travel do not forget to explore the Arabian castles and historic Fujairah Fort. The next stop should be done at the Fujairah Museum, which displays ancient artifacts, such as old weapons, hand-decorated pottery, and soapstone carvings. The tourists, coming to Fujairah, are welcome to the Hajar Mountains to see the lovely freshwater springs. Another must-see during Fujairah travel is the tomb of Al Bithna. Rich heritage and culture of Sharjah without any doubts attract the tourists. It is the area of museums and historical sites. The top Sharjah attractions are the Islamic Museum and the Sharjah Museum. Ancient Arabic manuscripts and beautiful pottery are on display. The Arabian Wildlife Center, the Sharjah Archaeology Museum, and the Central Market should not be also left without attention.
